The English speaking community in Japan is largely made up of non-Japanese who reside here from a few months to a few years. Short-term residents understand that buying new household goods isn't economically wise - used goods usually suffice. Longer-term residents may buy new goods but don't want to take the goods with them when they leave. Both short- and long-term residents expect to sell some if not all of the goods before they go. Tokyo Hi-Tech ITC was established with the above thoughts in mind - to give the English speaking community a popular and easy way to recycle used items.
